Chef Jeff’s is a little gem tucked away in Westport, MA located just minutes from campus. Foodies can stop on in for breakfast or lunch at this little hole in the wall mom and pop shop. Located on 1133 American Legion Hwy, Chef Jeff’s is known for their home cooked meals and wide variety menu dishing out your favorite comfort foods.

Their prices are reasonable and their portions are generous making it the perfect spot for college students to spend a nice meal out with family, friends or a significant other.

The atmosphere is fun and laid back, so come in your favorite pair of jeans and UMass Dartmouth sweatshirt!

If you’re stopping on in for breakfast the chourico hash & eggs is a portuguese cuisine lovers delight featuring homemade chourico hash packed with flavor, served with not one but two eggs made any way you wish.

Don’t forget the home fries and choose from an english muffin or toast.

The eggs benedict is a classic served with mouth watering Virginia ham on top of an English muffin and poached eggs, with the legendary hollandaise sauce and home fries.

Maybe you are feeling something more on the sweet side to satisfy that sweet tooth. Their specialty pancakes are a perfect bite.

One can choose between banana, strawberry or chocolate chips, the options are endless.

The ultimate foodie cannot leave here without trying the breakfast crepes which are a real treat. Favorites include apple cinnamon, banana brown sugar, and the ham, swiss, and asparagus crepe.

Wash all your favorites down with a cup of joe or a glass of juice and just like that we are moving into lunch, which is a real favorite.

Start off with one of Chef Jeff’s homemade soups or chili, the New England clam chowder is one you can never go wrong with.

If you really want to bring it up to the next level get your chowder with the three clam cakes combo, they are the perfect addition. Others include kale soup, chicken and rice soup, chili, and chili with the works.

Sweet potato fries are a great appetizer or side with any of their dishes and have the perfect combination of sweet and fry. Can I suggest pairing it with the known to fame tuna melt? Their tuna melt is a fan favorite and is served on a toasted English muffin, with tuna salad, just the right amount of swiss cheese and tomatoes.

The chicken parmesan sub and chourico are quick and easy to eat on the go if craving something a little bit hearty. The chicken parmesan sub is topped with marinara sauce and cheese and served on a fresh roll and the chourio is a classic served with peppers and onions.

If you are a seafood lover one will love the lightly fried fish and chips or fried scallops, also served with french fries and homemade coleslaw. Each bite melts in your mouth and will leave you wanting just one more taste.

If you are craving a burger they are cooked just the way you like them and can be dressed with anything you wish, from sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, tomato and onion, applewood smoked bacon and cheese.

Other menu items include spaghetti and meatballs, marinated steak tips, grilled chicken breast, and meatloaf.

Chef Jeff’s restaurant is a quaint little spot and the perfect place to just get away to for an hour or two, so make sure you add this to your must try restaurant list. Tripadvisor has it right this is a four star place, also don’t forget to call for the specials at 508-636-2207.
