Local fall festivities to fawn over this season

Fall is in full swing and November has arrived which means the holiday season is just around the corner from Thanksgiving, to Christmas, and before we know, it’s the new year.

With that, comes local happenings that make for fun family and friend outings.
There is never a dull moment in New England, there are so many fall events happening in your own backyard.

In Westport, MA:
Annual Holiday Open House, Lees Market:
On Saturday November 3, 2018 take a drive into Westport and stop in at the infamous Lees Market for their Annual Holiday Open House from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event will feature giveaways, entertaining for the holiday season, easy meal ideas, and more.
Christmas Open House, Beautiful Things:

From November 8 until November 11, 2018 stop on into this little gem of a store and check everyone off your list. Beautiful Things will be holding their annual Christmas open house and features specialized gifts that are personalized and unique. Beat the rush of the holiday season by shopping early at this boutique.

In Dartmouth, MA:
Legally Blonde The Musical, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth:
The UMass Dartmouth Theater Company will be bringing Legally Blonde The Musical to life on November 8, 9, 10, and 11 for a night filled with all your “omg” moments. Tickets will be $5 dollars for students, $7 dollars for seniors, and $12.00 for general admission.

In Fall River, MA:
Pumpkin Adult Paint Event, Barrett’s Alehouse:
Put your artistic abilities to the test at Barrett’s Alehouse’s paint nights. On November 15, 2018 the alehouse will be hosting the Pumpkin Adult Paint Event from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for $15.00 per person and comes with all the painting materials.

Thanksgiving Centerpieces, The Cove:
The Cove Restaurant and Marina will be hosting a Thanksgiving centerpiece event on November 19, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. -9:30 p.m. Guests will be able to create their own floral arrangements for their own Thanksgiving tables.

Kennedy Park will be hosting a farmer’s market on November 10, 2018 at 7:00 a.m. The market features a wide variety of products that are local and fresh.

In New Bedford, MA:
AHA Night, Downtown New Bedford:
November AHA Night in New Bedford will take place on November 8, 2018 from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
This month’s theme is going to celebrate places, people and things that are created in New Bedford.

In Providence, RI:
Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular, Roger Williams Park Zoo
Halloween may be over but Roger Williams Park Zoo’s legendary pumpkin extravaganza is open until November 4, 2018 for all those that were not able to stop on in before.
Take a ride in there new Soaring Eagle Zip Ride and fly over thousands and thousands of pumpkins or take a stroll while taking in all the views from a lower scale, as the zoo celebrates 30 years of Halloween fun.
