Wednesday, November 2nd – UMass Dartmouth was defeated 4-2 in their first MASCAC game of the season against Worcester State (1-2, 1-0 MASCAC).

The Corsairs struck first at the end of the first period. Junior forward #17 Michael Mania scored after assists from freshman forward #42 Matthew Zdanowicz and senior defenseman #2 Jake Maynard.
Worcester State responded with a goal halfway through the second period. Senior forward #14 Kevin Drevitch tied the game 1-1. Sophomore forward #21 Brian Clougherty and freshman #20 Anders Grongstad picked up assists on the goal.
Worcester State scored two quick goals later in the second period. Sophomore forward #23 Mike Wilson scored on a power play, with assists from Grongstad and Drevitch. Sophomore forward #9 Max Tucker scored one minute later to make it 3-1, with Wilson and sophomore forward #15 Bridgham Neuhold getting assists.
The Corsairs made it a 3-2 game with eight minutes to go in the third period. Freshman forward #8 Tyler Stewart scored, as Mania and freshman defenseman #3 Lane Ruffner got assists.
Worcester State iced the game with 13 seconds left, as senior defenseman #6 Max Roth scored an empty net goal after the Corsairs pulled their goalie in an attempt to tie the game.
UMass Dartmouth (1-2, 0-1 MASCAC) will look to get back on track in MASCAC play as they will go to Framingham State on Thursday, November 10th at 7:40 PM.
Swimming
Saturday, November 5th – UMass Dartmouth hosted the Louise Goodrum Invitational for the first time in two years.
Western Connecticut, Eastern Connecticut, Rhode Island College, Western New England, and Plymouth State all competed.
The relay team of sophomore Anya Wallace, freshman Kylie Winer, freshman Ella Gerardi, and junior Rachel Kerrigan captured third place in the 200-yard Medley Relay and 200-yard freestyle relay.
Winer finished fourth place in the 200 yard freestyle (2:14.02), third place in the 100-yard backstroke (1:21.31) and fourth place in the 1650-yard freestyle (21:35.07).
Gerardi finished third place in the 100-yard butterfly (1:13.84) and 1650-yard freestyle (21:25.48).
Wallace finished fifth place in the 100-yard freestyle (1:02.12) and second place in the 1650-yard freestyle (21:19.41)
Kerrigan finished fifth place in the 100-yard backstroke (1:12.94) and seventh place in the 100-yard IM (1:15.69)
Junior Hannah Mitus finished fifth place in the 50-yard backstroke (35.29) and eighth place in the 100-yard IM (1:16.71)
UMass Dartmouth will be hosting Elms and Western New England for another home meet on Friday, November 11th at 3:00 PM.
