On Wednesday, October 16th, Liam Payne fell from the third story of a hotel room in Argentina and died on impact.

Liam Payne, famously known for being one of the five singers in the hit boy band One Direction, died at the age of 31 whilst in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Now, every fan and celebrity who once knew him is taking to the internet to share their grievances and condolences over the young pop star’s untimely death.

One of the first and most important statements that were put out regarding his death was from BBC News, saying that the family was “heartbroken” as they paid tribute to a “kind, funny and brave soul.”

Some of the other more immediate responses came from the other One Direction members, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson.

Most of the responses regarding his death came with photos from the other members featuring themselves and Liam in random moments to remember the better moments together. In Louis’s post, he talked about how he “lost a brother” and that he is struggling with the loss.

Of course, a few other celebrities commented on Payne’s death. Celebrities like Simon Cowell, one of the people who, according to Hollywood Life, helped put the boy band together while judging them on The X Factor.

He had this to say, according to his Instagram post: “I want you to know how much love and respect I have for you.” He also goes on to talk about how he is upset about his passing and is proud of the person that he turned out to be.

Some other notable people who shared their condolences online include Paris Hilton, Charlie Puth, Flavor Flav, Zedd, Dan Richards, and Camila Cabello, according to Hollywood Life.

His current girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, also put out a statement, being one of the first people to experience and begin grieving the loss of the popular singer.

She called him her “angel,” according to NBC New York, and also put out a short message saying, “I have been at a complete loss. Nothing about the past few days have felt real. I ask and pray that you give me the grace and space to navigate this in private.”

At the time, Cassidy was out with Payne on a trip through Argentina, but she ended up going home a few days before the death of her partner occurred. Saying in a TikTok, “I hate staying in one place for too long.”

While it is still unclear as to what caused the artist to fall from such a height, it is clear that Payne died from the fall and seemingly not from any sort of foul play. However, further investigation is needed to reach a solid conclusion.

It has been reported that Payne did face some troubles before his early death in Argentina.

For example, according to an article from MSN, it has been repeatedly reported that he was removed from another hotel, The Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires.

According to the same article, the previous hotel he was in has not made any sort of comment since the incident; however, there may be a comment after further investigation has occurred, seeing as this is a very recent tragedy.

As it was told to People, the musician “jumped from the balcony” of the room. The Buenos Aires Security Ministry mentioned this.

It can also be noted that a guest mentioned that there was a “really loud, violent scream.” shortly before Payne supposedly died, as mentioned by People.

There are still plenty of investigations that need to occur before a solid conclusion is reached. For now, though, we can mourn the loss of the talent that was lost too soon.

His memory will live on in his music and through those who loved and supported him throughout his life.
