A photography club is coming UMass Dartmouth! Despite challenges in attracting members and meeting the 10-member threshold for official recognition, initial meetings have drawn in students from across all majors and years. The club expects official recognition next semester as long as it can acquire a treasurer, an advisor, and a finalized constitution.

The UMass Dartmouth women’s volleyball team achieved its first Little Eastern Conference Championship in team history, after two victories against UMass Boston and Plymouth State. The initiative aims to boost student voices and offer practical skills for budding podcasters. Furthermore, the SMC plans to host more learning events, create more episodes and programs, and provide internships and communication opportunities for students across all fields.

UMass Dartmouth sponsored a campus-wide Mental Health Day on October 25th, 2023 to promote mental health awareness and relaxation. The day was filled with various interactive events, workshops and activities such as art practices, meditations, a petting zoo, goal-setting seminars, counseling sessions, and discussions geared towards mental health awareness. Initiated by Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, Kimberly Scott, this event is set to become a semester-regular occurrence at the university.
