Microsoft has acquired the game development company Activision Blizzard for $69 billion, bringing iconic games like Call of Duty, Overwatch, and World of Warcraft under its umbrella. The deal, following Microsoft’s merger with Bethesda Games, raised concerns of a gaming monopoly. However, a 10-year agreement ensuring the continued release of Call of Duty on PlayStation alleviated these fears.
