New Hampshire Primary Results: Bernie Won

By Kira Bruce  Kbruce2@umassd.edu  Bernie Sanders, the Vermont socialist, won the New Hampshire primary last Tuesday. Followed by Pete Buttigieg, Bernie is now the leading democrat in the race.  After a confusing and narrow loss in Iowa’s caucuses, Sanders has officially won a primary election. He’s only 1 delegate behind Buttigieg and people are pretty surprised.   Having the title of socialist attached to your name is not usually beneficial in the United States. For years republicans have used the term as derogatory remark against their … Continue reading New Hampshire Primary Results: Bernie Won

Taxing extreme wealth under Warren’s proposed tax bill

Gates said, “I’ve paid over $10 billion in taxes. I’ve paid more than anyone in taxes. If I had to pay $20 billion, it’s fine. But when you say I should pay $100 billion, then … Continue reading Taxing extreme wealth under Warren’s proposed tax bill

Revolving door of Trump Administration keeps spinning

By Staff Writer Kira Bruce It isn’t news to anyone that Trump has had a difficult time keeping appointees in his administration.   It also isn’t news that Trump is a difficult person to work for. He has to be appeased at all times and cannot be at fault for anything going wrong.   Due to this, Trump has lost more cabinet officials and senior advisors than … Continue reading Revolving door of Trump Administration keeps spinning

Trump impeachment inquiry

By Staff Writer Kira Bruce  Since the fateful election day back in 2016 there has been talk about impeaching Donald Trump, yet every time he does something that seems like it would be impeachment worthy nothing happens. Until his recent conversation with the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, I would have guessed that nothing could get him impeached. The whistleblower informed the press about a suspicious … Continue reading Trump impeachment inquiry
